1st Floor Study Room
All study rooms can be reserved for varying amounts of time by students either online or on the screens right outside each room.
3rd Floor Study Room
Study rooms on the second and third floors provide a breathtaking view of Cache Valley. The rooms vary in size, accommodating a study group of two to eight students. Equipped with wireless enabled TV Screens and white boards, these rooms are ideal for maximizing your study time.
Analytical Lab
Our Analytical Lab is located on the first floor of Huntsman Hall. This room is equipped with 66 computers, 3 projectors screens, and TV screens lining the front to provide live information on financial markets. TV screens are located around the room with microphones on the ceiling to broadcast classes to any of our regional campuses.
Courtyard
This courtyard was designed to afford students a quiet place to enjoy the beautiful weather, talk over lunch , and study for classes. The four glass tables also act as skylights to shine natural light down into the 1st Floor Common Space. Garden and patio lights make this courtyard the perfect setting for evening events!
Dean’s Office Front Desk
Welcome to the administrative offices of the Huntsman School! Here you will find the offices for the deans of the Huntsman School.
Executive Boardroom
One of the best boardrooms in Utah! Executive and administrative meetings, including those of the Huntsman School National Advisory Board, take place in this stunning room.
First Floor Commons
The first floor commons offers five private study rooms with a large public study space that caters to multiple seating styles. Although this floor is below ground, the architecture utilizes skylights and windows to bring natural light into this great space.
Grand Staircase
This beautiful staircase yields one of the best views of Cache Valley and the Wellsville Mountains.
Huntsman Library
Jon M. Huntsman, Sr. had a tremendous positive impact on society. Not only was he among the most charitable leaders in the world, but he personified the culture of the Huntsman School by being an entrepreneur, having a focus on global impact, and portraying ethical leadership in all aspects of his life. Within the Huntsman library, you can find many inspiring stories from Mr. Huntsman’s life as well as many awards and recognitions symbolizing his great achievements.
Large Classroom
This is one of six classrooms in Huntsman Hall that can seat up to 80 students. Each classroom is acoustically designed in a tiered format so you can hear and see perfectly from every seat. You will notice that the room is configured in a half circle to increase collaboration amongst peers and faculty members. Room HH 326, which is featured here, has broadcasting capabilities to not only reach students at other campuses, but also to facilitate communication between groups of students and employers.
Legacy Hallway
This main hallway shows classroom entrances, study rooms, and a view into the Huntsman Courtyard. The Legacy Wall displayed on the windows tells the story of the Huntsman School. The entire community of students, faculty, staff, alumni, and friends is focused on our journey to top tier.
Medium Classroom
This is one of 11 classrooms in Huntsman Hall that can seat up to 50 students. Each classroom is acoustically designed in a tiered format so you can hear and see perfectly from every seat. You will notice that the room is configured in a half circle to increase collaboration amongst peers and faculty members. Several rooms in Huntsman Hall, including the one showcased here, have broadcasting capabilities to assist in distance education.
North Entrance
The Kem and Carolyn Gardner Atrium serves as one of two main entrances to Huntsman Hall. Displayed on the left wall is the quote from President Theodore Roosevelt that offers full context to our motto, “Dare Mighty Things.” This message stands as a reminder and expectation for our students to always do their best in every situation.
O.C. Tanner Terrace
This stunning outdoor pavilion, accommodated with sun shades for bright days, provides a relaxing place to study, have a bite to eat, or spend time with acquaintances, all while having a great view of the Quad.
Perry Pavilion
L. Tom Perry served as a religious leader for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and graduated from the Utah State Agricultural College in 1949 with a finance degree. Elder Perry was honored as a Distinguished Executive Alumnus of the Huntsman School in 2006 and received an honorary doctorate from USU in 2008.
Shaw’s 88 Kitchen
Shaw’s 88 Café offers a variety of quick meals for students on the go. It is located in the center of the building for easy access and offers plenty of seating options. Shaw’s also serves Utah State’s famous Aggie Ice Cream!
Small Classroom
In addition to the tiered classrooms, there are flat classrooms that provide a more personal experience between students and instructors. Each classroom is equipped with multiple projectors, whiteboards, TV screens, and portable desks to enhance the teaching/learning environment.
Tanner Lounge 9th Floor
Dedicated in 1970, the George S. Eccles Business Building is still the tallest building between Ogden, Utah, and Boise, Idaho. The first eight floors in the Eccles Building include faculty and department offices as well as additional classrooms. The ninth floor, as seen in this view, is the O.C. Tanner Lounge that offers a professional event space with an excellent view of Cache Valley.
With all the technological abilities that you would ever need, you may find this room being used to host student groups with visiting career professionals, information sessions, department socials, and much more.
Third Floor Commons
This common area is located in the middle of the building and is central to all the classrooms and study rooms. The space features high tables, lounge chairs, couches, and other furniture to accommodate any kind of group or individual study.
Analytical Rigor, one of the four pillars of the Huntsman School, is incorporated throughout the curriculum. We believe in stretching our students to expand abilities in critical thinking, analytical skills, and strategic decision making. Several tools, including the Bloomberg professional service, are available at the fingertips of all Huntsman students to give them a competitive and dynamic edge in the marketplace.
As our main event space, L. Tom Perry Pavilion is designed to accommodate a variety of campus and community events. From our weekly Focused Fridays (click here for current schedule), during which we host business and civic leaders, to career events like “Meet the Firms,” this space provides an unforgettable experience. The room can be divided into two sections, each section being equipped with projectors, screens, and a variety of seating/table options. Located throughout our building, large TV screens inform students and faculty about upcoming events and news regarding classes, clubs, careers, and much more. The Huntsman School of Business counts many incredible alumni and friends, including Lars Hansen, who received the 2013 Nobel Prize in Economics.
The artwork that hangs in the Huntsman Hall was donated by renowned artist Howard S. Clark, a long-time friend of Mr. Huntsman. Mr. Clark’s work is featured in several buildings across the nation and has earned him accolades around the world.
